Adult immigrant workers of Limited English Proficiency (LEP) are a rapidly growing presence in today's workforce. As a result, many industries — including the building trades and service sectors — are grappling with new challenges in on-the-job communication, safety, training, and union participation. Immigrants seek the skills to increase their effectiveness on the job and to advance at work and in life.
Essential Language provides training in English as a Second Language and in Spanish, customized for organizations with LEP speakers. Our innovative courses are designed to meet both the organization's and the speakers' goals for improving workplace communication, safety, and effectiveness. We focus on practical language skills that LEP speakers (and those who represent and supervise them) can apply directly on the job and in their everyday lives.
